Farmhouse Castiglione della Pescaia

Castiglione della Pescaia is a renowned summer tourist destination, popular for long beaches, crystal clear sea and Mediterranean nature. The city and the surrounding countryside are included within the Diaccia Botrona Nature Reserve, a true environmental paradise.
The area is particularly suitable for hiking and walking, mountain biking or horseback riding. The most suggestive itineraries lead to the discovery of the beaches, the nearby promontory of Punta Ala and the Regional Park of Maremma. In the village of Vetulonia there is also an Etruscan archaeological site rediscovered at the end of the 19th century.
Also, there are several places of interest and monuments in the historic center. First of all, the ancient castle, still surrounded by walls, dominates the village’s profile, imposing over the roofs of houses and palaces.
In the walls are opened the original Porta San Giovanni, Porta della Madonna del Giglio and Porta Castello.
