Farmhouse Capalbio

Set on the top of a low hill in the extreme south of Tuscany, Capalbio is a historic center rich in medieval testimonies. Along the walls surrounding the village there is still the ancient road of surveillance from which the area was guarded. Once owned by Orvieto and later by Siena, Capalbio has been seen several times involved in fights and clashes between the two cities.
The city center offers fantastic emotions given by the particular atmosphere that it breathes: history, traditions, folklore, art and culture. There are also numerous panoramic views that from the top of the village allow you to admire the colors of the Maremma countryside and the sea in the distance. In the territory of Capalbio is also included a part of the coast, a few kilometers south of the Maremma Regional Park. In this area there are several fortifications dating back to the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries as the Tower of Buranaccio and the Fort of Macchiatonda.
