Farmhouse Tarot Garden

Surrounded by the mediterranean vegetation, a short distance from Orbetello, there is a great artistic park created by the American Niki de Saint Phalle: it is the Tarot Garden.
The artist, inspired by the Park Guell of Barcelona and by the Park of the Monsters of Bomarzo, began the realization of the garden in 1979 and finished it a long time after in the 90s.
Inside the park you can admire 22 enormous sculptures inspired to the major arcana of the tarot. Among these are represented the Emperor, the Death, the Empress, the Devil, the Fool and many others.
Rich in esoteric and symbolic meanings, the impotent sculptures of the park, up to 15 meters high, transport the visitors in a magic and charming world. The artist aimed indeed to create a place where man and nature can meet, a true piece of heaven. Once entered the Tarot Garden you can visit the park with no guide just walking along the paths.
